Just got back from the Sno-Drift car rally in northern MI. and I was field testing the new EXO2 heated insoles, back warmer and neck cover.
When we left the house it was 8 degrees above zero and it never got above 16 degrees all day. I used the heated insoles and the back warmer and the only thing that cold was my fingers!!
I usually get cold because my feet get cold, but not with these heated insoles, my feet were warm, not hot or sweaty but comfortably warm for 4 hours of standing around out in near zero degrees. I used them in my pack boots with just regular cotton socks.
The back warmer worked great also, I actually turned it off a few times it was so warm, I was wearing it over a t-shirt and under a quilted flannel shirt and my heavy winter leather coat, when I wasn't facing into the wind I could actually open my coat and stay comfortable.
As for the neck warmer, well, I can't stand to have anything around my neck, I stretch out my t-shirts when I put them on so I didn't use it.
I did however let 2 of my friends try it out, Donna and Natalie would switch off taking turns using it and they both loved it, they said that next year I need to bring one for each of them.
On a scale of 1-10 I would give these a solid 10, they performed just like advertised.
Now if I only had a pair of EXO2 gloves.........................
look for pics of the Car Rally in the general discussion forum.
