Has anyone ever made an artificial reef in their fishing/farm ponds?
We made a couple of reefs on the ice last weekend so that they will fall down into the pond when the ice melts this spring. Hoping that it will be a hangout for the smaller fish/minnows and that in turn will draw the bigger fish into the area also. These are clay drainage tiles that I dug up from around my house, I figure they will be better off in the pond than stacked up in the backyard. When the water warms up next summer I will go swimming and make sure that they are standing upright. I wired them together so that they don't just spread out.
Do you think it will work?
