Was in crawford county hunting my 80 acres with 3 acres of food plots opening morning at 7:16 am shot an 8pt coming to a scrape on food plot edge only seen 2 more deer opening day a doe and 3pt, day 2 saw 4 bucks same 3pt , 2 different 4pts, and another buck at 5:35 to dark to verify but seemed to have nice rack , also seen 6 does, day 3 seen 4pt and 3pt in food plot decided to grunt and 3 pt tail went up and he charged rite inn to within 15 ft all grizzled up the rut really seemed to just really get hot 14th nov seen deer and bucks every day till thursday morn also had 2 friends 1 of them shot a doe on thursday morn they all seen bucks spikes i dont allow spikes to be shot one of them is like 12-14 inches high also have a pie balled deer that we know is 1.5 yrs old from viewing last winter we assumed was a doe but seen him tuesday and he has buttons not even threw the skin must be genetically challenged the 8pt is 2.5 yrs old with 16 inch spread and field dressed at 167 the doe was 1.5 and dressed at 133 this really turned out to be the slowest openers ever hardly nay shots heard opening day like 12 shots all day and very few after that a few every day.
