How many of you hunt out of a box blind or popup blind for Rifle season |

I do both. I hunt out of box blind the first few days and then hunt treestands. I never used to be a box blind hunter but the last several years it is easier
now to sit all day the 1st two days of season. I enjoy sitting from sun up to sun down and being comfortable. I used to sit in treestand all day rain or snow
for years. I paid my dues

I prefer hunting a tree stand but these days I've found myself hunting out of my pop-up blind more then not. I think it's because I get fatter every
year and it's harder to climb a tree in the dark without terrifying everything in the woods into the next county. I like the little 1 man outhouse blinds.

The last couple of years I have hunted out of a pop-up inside my natural ground blind. Of course this is because my daughter is hunting with me and I want her
to be as comfortable and dry as possible, not because I am getting old and soft.

I'm just getting old (26) and fat (229 lbs.). So I use my pop-up more then ever this year. Even though my treestand is only 40 yds from where I put out
my pop-up. oh well.

After sitting in a treestand in the rain/snow/sleet last year for a couple hours I gave up and went and sat in a comfy box blind. Comfy chair, propane heater
whats not to like? This year I will be in a raised popup style blind back in the swamp, I put the carpet in last weekend and the propane heater also.

Nothing beats a warm comfortable box blind. It's way to dangerous sucking down suds in a treestand.
