I shot him at about 17 yards right below me. I was upwind and fully camoed. I was in my "night stand" and thought I would catch the deer coming
back into the funnel where they bed. I wasn't expecting to see anything until later in the day. He came out of nowhere. I didn't even hear him..I
saw him first. He was there just long enough for me to stand, draw, and shoot without getting busted...less than a minute. I took him in South Lyon,
Michigan. The thing is that I saw a thick racked 12 point on opening day and this is not him. I tracked him about 40 yards. He crashed through the thickest
part of the woods like he was parting the red sea with broken tress and shrubs. Snapped my gold tip off at 20 yards and found the arrow inside through his
lung when I was gutting him. He weighed just under 200 lbs dressed.

Thanks Mike - I got a European mount for this one.....too much for a regular mount....money is tight. This is my biggest buck. I have a thick racked 12
point still running around out there that I saw opening morning.
