I have used the buck roar near mock scrapes. Usually make 3 scrapes in a line about 40 yds apart, with the last scrape under a overhanging branch and I keep all 3 scrapes freshened up with tinks doe urine. I hunt near the last scrape with the overhanging branch and use the buck roar call along with my setup. I have had several bucks come in and investigate last week of October of the 2008 season. Tried it 4 times on 2 different hunts and saw 3 bucks.
