What do you consider long range?

This is my 25-06 that I killed praire dogs with at close to 850 yards. This is built on a Remington 700 action with a 24" barrel, EGW 15MOA scope mount, 8-32x Burris Signature scope, set in a Boyds laminate stock. The picture is 2 3 rounds groups fired at 100 yards off a bench with bags.....its a 1/4MOA gun.


Smallest 500 yard group to date..... .602" for 3 shots




My 243 Super Rock Chucker....with in 3" at 1100+ yards of killin a p-dog never did connect with anything past 750 yards with it though. This is built on a Interarms Action, fajen bench rest stock, 30" Hart barrel, Weaver T20 scope. 243 SRC is a 25-06 necked down and blown out, it pushes a 75gr HP at 3800FPS. I am working on getting a new Leupold 18x for this rifle and a new scope mount, with a 15 MOA cant to it so I can hit 1000 yards easier.




I brought both of these rifles with me to Wyoming when I moved here. Hopefully I can get some 1000 yard target shooting in out here. I know both of these rifles will kill antelope at 500 yards or better.
