I have been sending my soil tests into the state for years now and I found something awhile back that was really accurate and saved me some time. I have compared these soil test from the State with the pH meter I bought. Wow .They were within .3 of each other. Pretty good for a tester that fit's in your pocket. When your doing your Food Plot you need to know your pH levels to maximize your Food Plot's potential. pH is simply the measure of alkalinity and acidity of the soil. This will let you know how much lime is in your soil. Proper pH levels help you unlock the nutrients available and release them into your plants. Improving soil conditions can dramatically improve the usage and overall forage production of each individual plot. When doing your own food Plot this is a great Tool to have.
