Just wondering how many of you use electric space heaters and if they have ever shorted out on you? This is the 2nd heater to short out on me this year, think
i will just turn up the furnace now!! Thankfully the circut breaker tripped!!

 Thats scary stuff.....I use one in my basement. It blows a fuse if I
have to many things on but never anything like that.

That is scary!! Glad you still have a house!
I would call an electrician to check out the wiring. It might not just be the space heaters causing the problem... |

 I probably should have replaced that outlet when the
first heater shorted out because it was the plug that melted on it also. I got the recepticle replaced last night just before the flood water started coming
in, guess if it started to burn the flood would put it out for me huh?
