Posts: 98 08/27/08 12:03	Tags : None I was just wondering what Loads most of you guys use I have been shooting 80grains with a 250grain sabertooth currantly have pyrodex loose powder but it is so dirty its not funny i have to do a full cleaning after every shot but im gona change to triple7 any other opinions 07 martin jaguar magnum 60lb, impact archery sight, whisker biskit, string leaches, peep sight, release loop, sts string tammer,truglo satabilizer shootin easton st epic 400 8.7gpi Last Edited By: 1sharpshooter 08/27/08 12:07. Posts: 518 08/27/08 12:24	I shoot a winchester x150 with 120 grains of triple 7 pellets and 245 grain powerbelt areotips. I have only had to trail one deer and that was my fault, I pulled the shot and hit it in the liver, took me 3 hours to track through a tag alder swamp and it went about 300 yards. I don't know what made me madder, that I had to track it or that i ruined the liver! All said I am very happy with the triple 7 pellets and with the areotip I dont need any patches or grease, also using the 209 primer ignition is a blessing, no more missfires!!! My last muzzleloader missfired so many times I was going to throw it in the river but a friend said he would take it so I gave it to him. Your Signature ... That's a shooter!!

Posts: 571 08/27/08 8:23 Firearm Expert	I am using triple 7 pellets 100gr worth in my 50 caliber's with my cast 45 caliber bullets in a sabot. In my 54 and 58 I use RS with a patch and ball, ussally about 85-100grs worth of loose powder in those. With triple 7 I can go dang near 10 shots before I have to run a patch down the tube. I read American Pioneer is even better. Doug .................. Sticks and stones may break my bones but Hollow Points expand on impact.

Posts: 98 08/28/08 12:52	I had thought about American Pioneer too i think im gona try the triple 7 loose first i have shot pellets but the loose powder goes so much further and yea the 209 is a must. I also have only been shooting the sabertooth 50 / 250g sence i bought it, last year when i was shooting pellets i could easily hit a post it note at 100 yards an now with this powder i hate shooting it. Im gona go pick up some powerbelt 245g and a bottle of 777 an see what happens 07 martin jaguar magnum 60lb, impact archery sight, whisker biskit, string leaches, peep sight, release loop, sts string tammer,truglo satabilizer shootin easton st epic 400 8.7gpi

Posts: 119 10/02/08 3:15	I used Triple 7 in the past and it is good but dirty. I just recently switched to Jim Shockeys GOLD Sticks (American Pioneer) and love the stuff. I can go 4-5 shots without even swabbing the barrel and the loads seat all the way down each time. As far as bullets I use TC Shockwaves in 300 grain backed by 150 grains.

Posts: 140 10/19/08 9:25	I use 2 triple seven pellets and 220 gr. dead centers. I got sick of not having a blood trail with powerbelts, never lost a deer, but should be a little better.

Posts: 87 11/24/08 9:00	I shoot a T/C omega with 150 grains of triple 7 pellets and a 250 grain T/C shockwave.This shoots very well for me and makes a nice hole.
