You guys can go ahead and wait for Oct. 1 to come around but I'm looking for Sept 13. That is is opening day of bow season down hea in good ole' Noff
Carolina. Got a new spot this year to add to the old spot from last year, and am already for Day 1. The setup I am going to use is the same one I used last
year and the year before. A Reflex Excursion compound with a 65 # draw, 29" length , 28" carbon express 6075 with blazer vanes. Not sure what new
broadheads I will have, I will get those next week at Bass Pro's Fall Hunting Classic. Also gonna try some Acorn Rage powder and Weekend Success
attractant this year in addition to some good ole' fashun corn. This new spot is right next to a pond I have been bass fishing this summer. Last
saturday, a buddy and I were fishing from a jon boat and 4 deer came right up to the edge to grab a drink right in front of us. That helped us make up our
mind to hunt there!!!!! So the plan is for one of us to take a bow and the other my mom's video camera so hopefully some film time will come out of
this!!!

I am slowly getting ready. Looking to get some scentlock clothing for warmer weather.....probably the Savannah brand. I have the cold weather stuff and it is
great. Oct 1st is fine with me and I actually prefer to go out the 2nd week of October because it is normally to warm at the beginning of the month. Hunting
to me is hearing the leaves crunch under the deer's feet and the air feeling a little chilly. I love the Fall!!!

Bow is ready for Aug 25 opener, only 1 day to hunt before back to work though
I might have a chance to chase bighorn in the Rockies this year early season too so opener could find me with rifle in hand. If that happens I'll have to save my energy for hiking  . Still waiting for a call to see if it's
a go......with fingers crossed!

Troy,
Aug 25 is opener for bow on everything in the areas I hunt. Sept 5 rifle for bear, sept 17 rifle for most of the other species (rifle moose is a little later ). Season runs to Nov 30 except for cow elk(Dec 20). Different areas have earlier or later opening dates. |

Where I hunt Troy, yes. http://www.albertaregulations.ca/huntingregs/ . I said some areas opened
earlier but was wrong about that
 .
Most areas open Aug 25 or Sept 3. Some have a short season that doesn't start until Oct but they are the exception. |

so far im shootin a 07 martin jaguar magnum 60lb, impact archery sight, whisker biskit, string leaches, peep sight, release loop, sts string tammer,truglo
satabilizer shootin easton st epic 400 8.7gpi
But im drooling over that new 2009 pse x force Dream Season shootin that awsome 350 fps Just might have to get it But same here october1 opening season for me except for that sept 19-22 bow hunt doe only private land only |
