Rocko you may look around at local hardware or farm supply stores and see if you can find it, sorry cant remember the name. but i have used a chemical product
before that worked well. you need to drill some holes in the stump with a wood boring bit and dump this stuff in. it will dissolve the stump but may take a few
treatments to get all of it. other than that you can check out local stump grinder and check prices. or of course the old fasion dig them out.

I have to do the same thing in one of my plots. I had an area clearcut a few years back and want to make my plot a little bigger and there are some good size
stumps there.
I am going to take my tractor and use the front bucket to dig a little and push the stump back and forth and break the roots if I can. I don't want to just hook a chain up to the back of the tractor and pull. That is a good way to flip a tractor over. What 85fxr was talking about....drilling holes and pouring a solution in there to eat at the stump. I have heard of guys doing that and it does work and you have to do it a few times. I don't remember the name of the stuff either. |

If you can't find the solution they're talking about, drill the holes & fill with humus( rotting leaf litter from around the tree ). Add water in
the holes & cover to keep it damp. Fungus will rot it fairly quickly but it could take a few years. Keeping it wet will speed the process.

here is a link about some of the chemical removers
When I can I ride my Harley, when I can I hunt with my bow, rifle or muzzle loader. When I can I fish for Pike,Walleye and Bass. When I can't do any of
these things, life sucks and I go to work

I think this site will give you some good ideas on how to get your stump out. It has a pretty comprehensive list of stump removal techniques with detailed
explanations of each. The

I used the stump rot ..that you drill holes in the stump and put it in and then water it.. on an maple stump.. takes too long to work.
