If we get the deer behind the house here we drag it to our field and gut it there.
If we are at deer camp we ussally gut it were it drops because draging a deer full of guts up and down hills suck.

I have saw other deer walk right by the pile (10 yards or less) or stop by and smell it for a couple days.... Once the yotes find it though its cleaned up over
night...

With the addition of ATV's to the hunting arsenal deer are taken back to camp and gutted. Too many coyotes, dont need to feed them.

Most of the time I have had gut piles disappear in a couple of days. This year was the first time one was still around a couple of weeks later but here in
Minnesota it was pretty frozen.
