Just a heads up......No one offers a 35 Whelen in a lever action. If you are looking for a Whelen and not a 35 Remington (pretty common) your best bet would be
to buy a Browning BLR in 30-06 and have it rebarreled.

Whoa! That's a pretty big statement! Are you sure you want to risk your "Firearm Expert" rating on that? Now of course if you mean that today none of the major manufacturers are producing a lever action model in .35 Whelen you are correct, but then why would I place an ad when I could just go and buy one? Since the wildcat round dates back to right around WWI, somewhere, somebody had this idea and it's already been done. What I'm looking for will most likely be a custom rifle. Thanks for your comment, and keep my phone number because one day you'll be at some gun show and look down at the table and realize the error of your youth! |

Attitude? Well, maybe sometimes but not today. I joked about the description of a "Firearm Expert", whats wrong with that? Are you so sensitive? I
did thank you for your opinion, which I believe you have the right to. But I posted looking to buy a gun, as far as I khow something this website says I can
do. Do I have to only post wanted ads for common guns? If I have a problem with uploading data, which seems to have been a frustrating and common problem for
some others as well, should I not ask for help? So lets get right to your statement "if it were me that wanted a 35 Whelen in a lever action, I would buy
a lever action 30-06 and have it rebarreled to 35 Whelen with a good quality barrel." My thought was, before I placed the post, that someone has already
done this and might want to sell their completed gun. Because someone saw my post and called, I already have a solid lead on such a gun. And it seems that your
too much of a hothead to pass over my threads or not comment.

Don't know of any 30-06 lever actions either.. but i am definatly no firearms expert !!!! Went thru my guntraders guide can't find any in there either
????? I do not believe any of the LEVER actions are long enough to handle a 30-06 length cartridge. Thats why the bolt actions are made in short and long
action configurations. This gun your looking for would have to be one hell of a custom LEVER action. Just my opinion buy a 35 Remington in a Marlin and call it
good, if your not stuck on 35 caliber then a 45-70 or 444 Marlin. All of these are excellent brush guns as good or better than the 35 Whelan !! Respectfully,

I stand corrected already the Browning BLR that dk17hmr spoke of is available in the long action so he is correct the rebarrel of that would work well. The
BLRs used to be only available in the short action configuratons, don't know when they started with the long action but did find them on the Browning
website! Well like I said I'm a Polock.. Good Luck with your search ! Skey01
