Beent trying to get another deer. I was going out this morning but woke up to the wind going like a freight train. Might go for a walk and see if I walk up
on one.

I am not shooting doe yet. I stood in a tree this last Saturday. I had groups of 5 and then 3 doe/fawn walk passed me then stayed/bedded down 30 yards away.
(snow camo is great!) With the south wind and 300 yards of wooded area down wind from them I opted to use them as 8 "natural scent" bombs. My wait
yielded no curious bucks. There is still the late doe/shotgun season ahead.

hey troy whats up? seeing a few every day where im hunting. waiting also for a iquisitive buck to walk by till near end of season. also started fishing
already in jerrys marina, tawas and some on houghton lk.
ice should be better by this next weekend 4-7 inches right now so be careful |

Just spent the last two days up in Missaukee. Monday was horrible. 35mph wind gusts and 9 degrees. We arrived early to the two track to find out that the 4x4
was not going to make it thru the snow. So, we picked up a deer sled and packed in 2 miles to our spots. I took my son with me this morning and picked up a
nice doe. It was a pain to pack her out but what a rewarding hunt. My son turns 12 next year so it was a great experience for him to see it all go down from
the walk in to the gut and walk out. It has turned out to be my best hunting season yet!!

Jonny great story....my son is 21 months and I will be proud when I get to take him hunting someday.
