Saw quite a few deer last weekend, and finally managed to tag a nice fat Doe on Sat. I would have had one on Fri. BUT funny thing about black powder rifles is that they work better if you actually put in some powder and a BULLET!!!! I busted a cap on a doe fri only to watch her run away then stop and look around like, what the hell was that............ I had put in a 209 primer and somehow had a BLONDE moment and forgot the rest of the load...........

This is a doe we call Stubby because of her short tail, she has protected status, we won't shoot her and neither will the neighbors, we want to keep track of her to see how old she will get.
