Putting in the plots |

Here are a few pics of us putting in our Outfitters Choice. We ended up with about 1 1/4 acres. These were from my phone camera I have a few more on actual
camera card I need to download. We put them in on Fri and had a torential rain fall on Sat and Sun. I hope that didn't wash all the seed out.

New or Old ground ? | #3 | ||

Nice job there with that ATV. I would like to know if the plots were there and worked up last year? I guess they were from
the nice job you did. I find that New ground and sod take a lot more work to get the way you show in your pictures. It looks like you have a nice food plot in progress and are well on your way to a good season if we keep getting the rain we have been getting. I got to till up a few of mine Thrusday and they dried out nice Friday with 77+ degree temps. Then the rains came Saturday and I will have to real till in a few days after they dry. I bought a real nice "Linebach" disc and it was worth the big bucks that it cost. Its made in America too. Most everything at Tractor supply is imported! I really like your plot between the pines. That will be sweet for a bow stand . Good luck

Most of the plots we put it had been planted in the past. We did put in a new 1/2 acre plot that the pictures didn't come out. That plot we ended up going down the road and getting my brother in law's, grandpas tractor and disc. We have a pull behind disc for the atv ( not sure of the brand), but that wasn't busting the new ground up well. We drug the seed with a heavy fence. I hope that got the seed set in enough to keep it there, it seemed to be okay after the rain. I have my fingers crossed. I will be up there next week. I am excited for the results, and hopefully I will have some pictures of a nice plot to show you guys. |

Wes, everything looks great! Here's a picture of my plot, the quality is horrible because I left my camera at home and had to take the picture with my
cell phone. I wish I would have gotten more action photos like you did. The rain should really help the plots! I couldn't believe the difference in
temperature up there though... it was 47 in Manistee County yesterday and 80 in Oakland County.
Keep me posted on how your plots do. I hope to go back up in a 2 or 3 weeks and will take more pictures. (hopefully of a field that's turning green) For anyone that's like me and new to food plotting I highly recommend Outfitters Choice. Not just because it's a great mix but because of the resources you have available on this site to help you grow your plot successfully. I can't thank Troy Waterman enough for all the guidance he provided me. I am extremely confident that my plot is going to be great. Best of luck to everyone with your planting! |
