Absolutely the right thing to do. I would have used my only tag if need be.

What you did was right. The reason we practice so much and only take responsible shots is so we can quickly and humanely dispatch our quarry. We do this because we have a genuine respect for the animals and do not wish to see them suffer , that is why you did what you did, and why you are a ethical hunter.

Always take out a wounded animal, tag or no tag its the right thing to do.

Couldn't understand alot of your post, but if the deer was wounded I would have taken it out and finished it off. Humane thing to do

ok so i finaly got some land to hunt thanks to the man above for that one so tonight im in stand and this yearling doe walks out her (about 90pounds dressed out) back right was completly jello just hangin there and twisted around so im watching her for about an hr within 30 yards she tried to cut up the ditch bank and threw the old fence so she got her left rear leg stuck so after watching her thrash about for 20 min she frees her self and now was crawling on her front two and sometimes using the leg she just freed so knowing i have 5 tags i finaly picked the bow up and took her down im just kinda feeling like was it worth a tag on such a small deer or should have nature just run its course just wondering your thoughts im at peace with my decsion id do it agian if i had that siuation in front or me just some guys i hunt with dissagreed with it so im looking for outher points of view thanks
