Arrest will work but SELECT is better.

Here is some info on SELECT

A broad spectrum grass herbicide, Select provides superior performance on nearly every grassy weed in almost every broadleaf crop. Select, marketed by Valent
U.S.A. Corp., has the power to control tough annual and perennial grasses at heights equal to or greater than competing herbicides. Valent product development
manager John Pawlak said Select provides the broadest spectrum of control available on the market.
"There are no holes with Select," he said. "Select is the least antagonistic grass herbicide to postemergence broadleaf herbicides, and when it
is tank-mixed with a broadleaf herbicide, Select is nearly unstoppable."

Tommy

For your 2 acres plot I would put down at least 6 bags of 6-24-24. The first number (6) is low in nitrogen because the clover etc already produces it own
nitrogen. That ratio has alot of Pot ash and will make your plants more pallatable. You could even go with 8 bags and be fine. This will make a BIG difference
in making a full healthy plot and you can spread the same time you put out your seed.

I was able to locate 6-24-24 in Bear Lake, which is about 30 minutes from TC. They were only offering it in 50lbs bags.. pso058, where exactly are you
planting? I am planting in Manistee county which is some what close to Traverse. I wonder if they would offer it to us in bulk if we could make it worth
their while. Let me know if you are interested in this.

I just purchased a 25lb bag of Outfitters Choice. (Thanks Troy) I also have pretty poor soil with a pH between 5.5 and 6.0. My question is, where can I buy
this 0-24-24 fertilizer? I have looked online and called all over the place and nobody seems to have it. Also, how much of it will I need for a 2 acre plot
with my pH where it is? I am going to lime the plot but I don't think it's going to boost the pH before I need to get this stuff in the ground.

Troy, I know you told me how much before but it has slipped my mind. Also, I am going to get to plant the seed after all!

For all you people out there that are on the fence about this Outfitter's Choice stuff, I have a few pictures for you. I took these pictures on my farm
in NC this weekend, 4/4/09. That's my daughter sitting in the Spring Blend. Our soil is terrible here. We applied a ton of fertilizer per acre and
fertilized with a 100 pounds of 4-26-26 in February. The plots speak for themselves. The deer and turkeys are hammering the Spring Blend. I had tracks on top
of tracks, stems and droppings all over these plots. The Jumbo Ladino was as big as the palm of my hand. There should be no question now about how good this
stuff works. If we can grow it, you can grow it!
