I planted around 300 seedlings over 3 years. At least half died as I wasn't able to keep them properly watered. Now I transplant them at home in the garden
for 2 years, them move them in the fall. I'm having alot better survival rates with transplanting once they're established and the cooler fall weather.

I plant trees every year. Red Pine, White Pine and Norway Spruce. I plant them in the Spring & Fall and try to water them a few times in the dry summer. It
is also good to carry a bucket around and sprinkle 12-12-12 fertilizer on them. I have the best luck with transplants which are already 18-24 inches tall. I
do plant seedlings also and it always sounds good but more than half DIE every year. I have been cutting back on the seedlings and do the transplants.
