marsh knobs

Last spring i put a food plot in about a half acre in size. nothing big but something to slow deer down as they go through my property. Well my question is where i have the food plot there are these knobs that you would see in a marsh that everyone rolls there ankles on when walkig through. well last spring i tried using a big walk behind tiller. using a spring tooth with weight added to it and i cant seem to bust up those knobs. I dont know if i were to use a Disk Harrow if that would work. I dont think it will Next option is renting a roto tiller for the skid steer and trying that to break them up. Has anybody else run into this problem.

The plot isnt in a wetland area it stays farily dry so driving a skid steer wouldnt be to much of a problem. OR a tractor if i could find one to rent

ATV Disc- Need Advice

Hey guys,

I am looking to buy some sort of ATV implement to put my fall plots in. I can't afford to spend a lot of money on one though. I see tractor supply sells
one and it's only $500 bucks, if you get it at the store. It's made by King Kutter. (see picture) I have read quite a few reviews online about it and
people have mixed feelings. Everyone that likes it says they have added weight to it, which I think I could come up with a slick idea to add weight..
I'll explain if I decide to buy..

The one thing I really don't like about it is that it's only 33 in. wide. Could take a LONG time to work up two acres..

Anyways, what if anything have you guys heard about this product? Any and all feedback is welcomed!

Thanks.

Today I tilled up and planted a 400' x4' switch grass screen. The paticular grass was the Nebraska 28 switch grass. It will act as a thick screen on
the edge of the forest
next to my food plots.
Since the edge of the new plot was so bare of any cover I thought it would provide a good screen for the deer and some easy bedding also. I expect it to grow
to 6 to 7 feet tall by Sept.
It is not a big food source more a cover for easy entrance to and from the plot to give the deer as sence of security.
We expect a few showers the next few days ,so I hope that will get it started!! WIll post some pictures soon.

When the pond was dug all the clay was layed around the edges of the pond. It made for some hard work for my tractor!!

This Yanmar 2210 is a strong little diesel and can get in to tight spots since it is only 46" wide!!

I was having a casual conversation with my Father about his garden and how he gets it to grow so good every year. Apparently, he has one of his buddies that
works at a really good golf course bring him loads of grass clipings from the fairways and works it in the ground. He said that the grass has lots of
fertilizer in it and is great for the soil. One, has anyone else ever heard of this? Second, if this does work, would it be a good idea for us to use with
our food plots and just work it in the soil?
