New Tower Blind

Spent last week up to Tawas putting in fall food plots and putting up a new blind. This blind is overlooking a new plot that has never been planted before. It was just a weedy clearing between the tag alders to the north and the cedar swamp to the south, has quite a few deer runs running thru it.

CROSS BOW QUESTION

I don't know much about cross bows so i thought you guys could help me. My wife loves to sit in the stand. Her fibromyalgia makes it difficult for her to shoot a regular bow. She's only 5-2. Do they make them for smaller framed people or are they all kinda the same. She shoots a youth model 20 gauge that fits her great if that helps. Thanks guys!!!

Bear tag

I drew a tag for Baldwin BMU this year. It only took nine points........ I have been finding quite a bit of sign some good size tracks, but still looking for more. If anybody has any suggestions I would welcome them.

CMP ammo for all as issued US Rifles in 30-06. You can shoot Vintage/Foreign class with any safe, "as issued" bolt action military rifle
(stock & sights not changed) with your own ammo.
Profits go to the M-1 for Vets Project. You will help take a group of wounded Iraq/Afgan worriors for Camp...

I see there are some new trail cams out that look pretty good: Stealth Cam has something called Nomad IR, Moultrie has Game Spy I-35 and another one and Primos has a line of Truth CamX. If you purchase one of these new ones lets hear a report.

Help with a tent

Need advice! I have'nt purchased a tent in years. I am looking for a lightweight, packable, waterproof, easy to put up and take down 2 man tent. I may use it out west but it will mostly be used in MI , anybody have any suggestions?

New hunting licenses raise $6 million for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources By Joel Wilcox, THG Outdoors A mistake made by an Indiana Department of Natural Resources employee paid off big this fall as the agency collected an additional $6 million in hunting license fees. Last March, when hastily trying to meet his deadline for publishing this year’s hunting license fees, Indiana DNR publications director Edgar Marcum mistakenly made two new additions to the brochure: a $15 fee to obtain a license to hunt black bear and a similar fee for hunting mountain lions. It seems that Marcum, in a hurry to finish the publication, cut and pasted information from the Montana Department of Natural Resources website onto a Microsoft Word document to save time. He did not proofread the brochure...

Got home from work and my son Jamie ( Rat Slayer ) reported that one of his buddys at school found a bunch of Morels in the public marsh yesterday. So Carol says "lets go pick some!" So 1st we went to where Rat's buddy was picking but a local who probably also heard the news was already there so we went to one of the farms I turkey hunt at... Good news we found some, bad news, I only found about 10, but Carol found a boatload... :roll:

The most recent court decision is very finite in its scope at least at this moment. But lets assume that the supplemental ruling does get overturned. I am curious as to how many hunters buy any type of feed to put out in the woods. It doesn't matter if its corn, carrots, C'mere Deer or whatever. How much $$$ do you and your hunting pals spend or would spend on Deer feed? I am looking at a business opportunity (not good for Michigan at the moment) and am looking to MOAB members for some input.
